Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ulster County is seeking a part-time Program Educator to work within the Ashokan Watershed Stream Management Program at its Shokan, NY office. This is a temporary, 24-week position and is a great opportunity for those looking for experience in the environment and natural resources field. Applications are due no later than April 15, 2016.
The Program Educator will be tasked with delivering educational activities at watershed community, volunteer, and school events. They will prepare written materials for several projects, including displays, fact sheets and websites on flooding and floodplain management. The Program Educator may also be called upon to assist other AWSMP partner agencies with tasks such as bioengineering projects, installation of native riparian vegetation, and monitoring projects.
