The Ashokan Watershed Stream Management Program (AWSMP) welcomes Heather Eckardt to the position of Sr. Administrative Assistant with our office. Heather comes to the program with 15 years of office and administrative experience and a strong interest in environmental conservation. Originally from central Virginia, Heather relocated to the Hudson Valley in 2011. She fell in love with the natural beauty of the area, and enjoys hiking, cooking, reading, and learning about plants in her spare time. She is thrilled to be a part of the AWSMP and she has a particular interest in the protection and restoration of aquatic and riparian habitats. Heather is currently pursuing a B.S. in Horticulture at Oregon State University and earned an A.S. in Business, Management, and Economics from SUNY Empire State College. The next time you call the AWSMP office, you are likely to hear Heather’s friendly voice on the line – welcome Heather!
