Beaver Kill Stream Tour – Register Now!

Join the Ashokan Watershed Stream Management Program for a bus tour and stream walk in the Mink Hollow and Willow Flats sections of the Beaver Kill watershed. Topics of discussion will include stream channel types, stream crossings and how they are sized, the importance of vegetated buffers next to streams, and different stream management techniques.

 How to Register:

This event is free and open to residents of the Beaver Kill watershed. Registration is required. To register, call the Stream Program office at (845) 688-3047, Ext. 0 and ask for Jamie Joy.

Registration is capped at 30 participants. If you are unable to register, but are interested in attending, please arrive at the fire house parking lot early to get on the wait list.


Meet at Woodstock Fire Company #1, 242 Tinker St., Woodstock, NY 12498 (Bearsville)

Bus Tour Schedule:

8:30am: Registration begins at the Woodstock Fire House.

9:00am: Begin tour with frequent stops and walks along the stream.

12:00pm: Conclude tour. Return to Woodstock Fire House.

The Tour includes free lunch!
