Beaver Kill Stream Tour — Register Now!

Join the Ashokan Water­shed Stream Man­age­ment Pro­gram for a bus tour and stream walk in the Mink Hol­low and Wil­low Flats sec­tions of the Beaver Kill water­shed. Top­ics of dis­cus­sion will include stream chan­nel types, stream cross­ings and how they are sized, the impor­tance of veg­e­tat­ed buffers next to streams, and dif­fer­ent stream man­age­ment tech­niques.

 How to Reg­is­ter:

This event is free and open to res­i­dents of the Beaver Kill water­shed. Reg­is­tra­tion is required. To reg­is­ter, call the Stream Pro­gram office at (845) 688‑3047, Ext. 0 and ask for Jamie Joy.

Reg­is­tra­tion is capped at 30 par­tic­i­pants. If you are unable to reg­is­ter, but are inter­est­ed in attend­ing, please arrive at the fire house park­ing lot ear­ly to get on the wait list.

Meet at Wood­stock Fire Com­pa­ny #1, 242 Tin­ker St., Wood­stock, NY 12498 (Bearsville)

Bus Tour Sched­ule:

8:30am: Reg­is­tra­tion begins at the Wood­stock Fire House.

9:00am: Begin tour with fre­quent stops and walks along the stream.

12:00pm: Con­clude tour. Return to Wood­stock Fire House.

The Tour includes free lunch!
