Posted on: September 2nd, 2016 by Leslie_Zucker

Please join us for an Invasive Species Pull Event at the Catskill Interpretive Center in Mt. Tremper on Saturday, September 10 from 10:00AM‑2:00PM. The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Lunch is included. Register now online!

The program includes removing as much invasive plant material as possible, an invasive species plant walk led by Ulster County Master Gardeners, and an orientation on how to recognize invasive plants.

The Catskill Streams Buffer Initiative (CSBI) will replant the area this fall with native Catskill trees and shrubs that benefit habitat and water quality. An educational trail will be built through the buffer. For more information on how to restore stream buffers in the Ashokan Watershed with CSBI assistance, call Bobby Taylor at (845) 688‑3047, Ext. 6.
