Join the Little Beaver Kill Stream Walk

The Ashokan Water­shed Stream Man­age­ment Pro­gram invites you to attend a stream walk on Sat­ur­day, May 3 from 10:00am to 12:00pm along the Lit­tle Beaver Kill in the Town of Wood­stock.  Alli­son Lent and Christi­na Apple­by of the Ulster Coun­ty Soil & Water Con­ser­va­tion Dis­trict will lead the walk and talk about stream sci­ence that can be observed along the Lit­tle Beaver Kill. The walk will begin at Ken­neth Wil­son State Park, a NYSDEC oper­at­ed pub­lic park and camp­ground. Most of the walk will occur off hik­ing trails. Some areas may be steep, rocky, or slip­pery. Please wear appro­pri­ate hik­ing footwear, water­proof if pos­si­ble. Also con­sid­er bring­ing insect repel­lent that repels deer ticks. No pets allowed.
