River Hydraulic Modeling Presentation Online

The Ashokan Watershed Stream Management Program hosted a river hydraulic modeling training for municipal officials, flood committee members, and interested partners this week. Local flood committees will be reviewing the outputs of hydraulic models as part of Town-led flood mitigation efforts. The models are extremely useful, but are typically used only by engineers and stream managers. The training helped the committee members learn how different flood mitigation options can be evaluated using the models. The training was given by Roy Schiff of Milone & MacBroom, Inc., a licensed engineer in Vermont. Roy’s presentation is now available on this website.
