Funding for the SMIP grant program is provided by the NYC Department of Environmental Protection and administered by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ulster County. The Ulster County Soil and Water Conservation District provides technical assistance. The program’s overall goal is to protect and enhance water quality, natural stream stability, and ecosystem health.
